GTB Financial Institutions Sales Associate

About the role

The GTB Financial Institutions Sales Associate will join Santander Corporate & Investment Banking in Madrid, supporting a portfolio of bank relationships. The role focuses on expanding Santander's cash management and trade & working capital solutions for financial institution clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of banking relationships, offering VOSTRO, AutoFX and Trade Finance products.
• Identify, pursue and close sales opportunities across the GTB product suite.
• Represent Santander in client meetings and coordinate multi‑product engagements.
• Collaborate closely with Cash Management, Trade Finance and Risk product teams, both locally and globally.
• Work with Financial Control, Legal, Compliance and Risk functions to ensure proper governance.
• Contribute to a diverse, collaborative sales team culture.

Required profile

• Experience in commercial origination and client engagement within banking or financial services.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑product client relationships.
• Strong collaboration skills with product specialists and internal stakeholders.
• Understanding of risk, legal and compliance considerations in sales processes.
