Head of Communications

About the role

We are looking for a Head of Communications who will own and drive Multiverse's media presence and external narrative in the US and Europe. This is not a vendor‑management role — it demands a hands‑on communications leader with an established network of journalist and media relationships who can engage press directly, shaping how the world understands Multiverse Computing.

Key responsibilities

• Direct Media Relations – US & Europe: own and continuously cultivate journalist and media relationships across top‑tier technology, business and AI press.
• Pitch and place stories directly with reporters and editors, maximizing earned media coverage for products, funding, partnerships and thought leadership.
• Serve as the first point of contact for inbound media enquiries and develop a fast response process.
• Build and maintain a living map of key media contacts, editorial calendars and coverage opportunities by region and outlet.
• Transition core PR activities from external agencies to an in‑house model while defining appropriate use of external partners.
• Develop scalable processes and tooling for press release drafting, media outreach, coverage tracking and crisis response.
• Drive media visibility for the CEO and leadership team through interviews, by‑lines, speaking engagements and editorial placements.
• Prepare executives for media interactions with briefings, Q&A prep and messaging discipline.
• Write and edit press releases, executive statements, op‑eds and strategic announcements to the highest editorial standard.
• Align communications strategy with Marketing, Product, Legal and Commercial teams and own crisis and issues management communications.

Required profile

• Established, direct relationships with journalists and editors at major technology and business media in the US and/or Europe.
• Demonstrable track record of securing high‑impact earned media coverage through direct outreach.
• Significant experience in communications or PR within AI, enterprise software, deep‑tech or complex B2B environments.
• Exceptional writing and editorial skills in English; ability to produce publication‑ready content independently.
• Proven experience reducing external agency dependency by building in‑house PR capability.
• Comfortable operating at pace in a global, multicultural scale‑up environment.
• Experience managing communications for rapid international growth or major funding/IPO moments (highly valued).
• Existing contacts in the US market specifically – ability to activate US media relationships from day one (highly valued).
