Head of Finance

About the role

Krones Iberica is looking for a Head of Finance to lead its finance function in Barcelona. You will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, compliance, and supporting the commercial success of our beverage and food technology projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate financial accounts, including P&L and balance sheet, in line with group reporting policies.
• Maintain ledgers, perform regular balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Oversee timely invoicing and monitor work‑in‑progress against KPI targets.
• Lead the forecast and planning process in coordination with corporate functions.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, local legislation and regulatory reporting deadlines.
• Manage the annual audit process and review statutory accounts prepared by external auditors.
• Supervise general purchasing according to group policy and supplier code of conduct.
• Collaborate with sales and service teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget and report deviations to the Board.
• Calculate monthly project provisions in line with accounting guidelines.
• Prepare and present monthly financial performance reports to the Board and senior management.
• Lead, coach and evaluate direct reports, handling performance reviews and disciplinary actions as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 10 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities to foster team engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
