Head of Finance – Spain

About the role

Sanoptis, a leading network of modern eye clinics across Europe, is looking for a Head of Finance for its Spanish operations. You will own the finance function, ensure accurate reporting, and drive performance through data‑driven insights in a fast‑moving, lean environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver monthly and annual financial statements on time, complying with local standards and group principles.
• Onboard new entities, aligning processes and controls with Sanoptis standards.
• Synthesize results, highlight deviations, and propose corrective actions for financial and operational performance.
• Produce bottom‑up business forecasts aligned with group targets and strategy.
• Collaborate with local operations to understand dynamics, address challenges, and identify opportunities.
• Leverage AI tools such as Claude to streamline reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Work with Group Finance to evaluate and implement new automation systems.
• Manage treasury and liquidity, forecasting cash balances across Spanish entities.
• Build relationships with external accountants, banks, and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in Controlling or FP&A.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Proactive, structured, and comfortable navigating complex, dynamic environments.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with both operational teams and senior leadership.
