HR Generalist – Barcelona

About the role

We are seeking a proactive HR Generalist to join our People Experience team in Barcelona. In this position you will manage core HR processes, support payroll and act as the first point of contact for employees, while also contributing to recruitment and employer branding initiatives for Flight Centre Travel Group in Spain.

Key responsibilities

• Execute HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contract changes, and off‑boarding.
• Prepare and maintain employment documentation such as contracts, amendments and certificates in compliance with Spanish legislation.
• Collect, validate and submit monthly payroll inputs to PayFit, handling salary changes, bonuses and variable payments.
• Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to manage end‑to‑end recruitment for roles in Spain.
• Support employer branding and talent attraction activities to strengthen FCTG Spain’s market presence.
• Assist internal mobility and career development programmes alongside the People Experience team.
• Participate in HR projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance tools and employee experience.

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience as an HR Generalist or similar role, preferably in Spain or an international setting.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and a service‑oriented mindset.

• Experience managing full‑cycle recruitment processes.
• Ability to produce accurate employment documentation.
• Familiarity with employer branding and internal mobility initiatives.
