Hygiene Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a Sanitation Lead to oversee cleanliness and sanitation across our food manufacturing facility. The role ensures compliance with food safety standards, regulatory requirements and drives continuous improvement in hygiene practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage sanitation programs and cleaning schedules for production, packaging, storage and common areas.
• Ensure adherence to SSOPs, GMP, HACCP and other food safety protocols.
• Lead, train, schedule and evaluate the sanitation team.
• Conduct regular inspections, ATP testing and visual checks to verify sanitation effectiveness.
• Maintain records, cleaning logs and documentation required by regulatory authorities.
• Support internal and external audits, inspections and certifications (OSHA, FDA, USDA, EPA).
• Identify process improvements, cost reductions and recommend new sanitation technologies.
• Manage sanitation supplies and chemicals inventory, ensuring safe storage, handling and disposal.
• Promote a safety culture, enforcing proper PPE use and safe chemical handling.

Required profile

• Degree or background in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Technology or related fields.
• Minimum 3 + years experience in the food industry, preferably in a sanitation or hygiene supervisory role.
