ICT Artificial Intelligence Internship

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a motivated intern to support its Information and Communications Technology (ICT) department in Valencia. The role focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives that enhance IOM’s digital solutions for migration management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the ICT team in developing and testing AI‑based tools and applications.
• Support data collection, preprocessing, and analysis for AI projects.
• Contribute to documentation, reporting, and knowledge‑sharing activities.
• Participate in meetings with field offices to understand operational needs.
• Help ensure compliance with cybersecurity and data‑privacy standards.

Required profile

• Enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s program or a recent graduate (within 12 months).
• Age between 20 and 36 years with less than two years of relevant work experience.
• Strong interest in ICT and AI, and willingness to work in an international, multicultural environment.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts.
• Familiarity with information and communications technology fundamentals.
