ICT Associate (Data Engineer) – Consultant

About the role

The ICT Associate (Data Engineer) will support IOM’s digital transformation by integrating data assets into the Microsoft Fabric platform. Working under the supervision of the ICT Officer (Data Analyst), the role ensures secure, high‑quality, and scalable data integration to enable evidence‑based programming.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess and integrate relevant data assets from multiple departments into the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
• Design, develop and maintain ETL pipelines and API interfaces to automate data flows.
• Implement data quality, security and governance controls to protect sensitive migration data.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align data stewardship and ownership.
• Document data models, pipelines and integration processes for ongoing maintenance.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology or related field with at least four years of professional experience, or a diploma with six years of experience.
• Proven experience in data engineering, data warehousing, API development and ETL processes.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural UN environment and communicate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
