Infrastructure Debt Investment Professional

About the role

The Infrastructure Debt Investment Professional will join Santander Alternative Investments’ Targeted Enhanced‑Yield Infra Debt (TEIDE) fund in Madrid. The role combines portfolio monitoring with the origination and execution of new infrastructure and energy private‑credit transactions, supporting the fund’s aim to generate high‑yield, low‑risk returns for institutional and ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate performance monitoring and reporting of existing investee assets, including financial results, covenant compliance and ESG metrics.
• Prepare summaries for investment and valuation committees and manage post‑investment issues such as waivers, restructurings and extensions.
• Originate, analyse and structure new high‑yield infrastructure and energy credit opportunities across global markets.
• Negotiate transaction terms, conduct comprehensive financial, ESG and legal due‑diligence, and oversee deal execution.
• Maintain ongoing portfolio oversight, including performance analysis, ESG reporting and financial tracking.

Required profile

• Proven experience in infrastructure debt or private‑credit investment.
• Strong analytical ability to assess financial statements, cash‑flow models and risk metrics.
• Familiarity with ESG considerations and legal documentation in infrastructure deals.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with investee companies and internal committees.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
