Infrastructure Fund Professional – Madrid

About the role

Santander Alternative Investments is seeking an Infrastructure Fund Professional to join its Targeted Enhanced‑Yield Infra Debt Fund in Madrid. You will be responsible for sourcing, executing, and managing high‑yield infrastructure and energy private‑credit investments across global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Originate and preliminarily evaluate investment opportunities in infrastructure and energy private‑credit markets.
• Structure transactions, conduct detailed credit, business‑model and risk analyses, and prepare investment committee memoranda.
• Lead comprehensive due‑diligence, including financial modelling, legal review, ESG assessments, and regulatory analysis.
• Negotiate terms with sponsors, advisors, banks, and asset managers.
• Monitor portfolio performance, prepare investor reports, and maintain relationships with institutional clients.

Required profile

• Proven experience in infrastructure or energy private‑credit investment.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting proposals to senior committees.
• Commitment to disciplined risk management and sustainable value creation.
