Insurance Agent - Life, Accident and Health

About the role

Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG), founded in 1911 and headquartered in New Orleans, offers life, accident and health insurance to millions of customers across the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean. It is hiring a full-time Insurance Agent in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, in a hybrid position combining in-office work with some work-from-home flexibility. The agent engages prospective and existing clients, presents insurance solutions and guides them through the application and underwriting process.

Key responsibilities

• Generate leads and conduct client meetings
• Prepare quotes and proposals
• Maintain accurate records in line with company and regulatory standards
• Handle ongoing policy servicing, renewals and client inquiries
• Support claims-related questions
• Collaborate with internal teams and brokers, stay up to date on products and market trends, and meet individual sales and service targets

Required profile

• Secondary school diploma required; additional education, professional insurance certifications or licenses are an asset
• Relevant experience in life, accident or health insurance or a related financial services field is beneficial
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in insurance and financial services is preferred
