Jefe/a de Partida – Hotel Occidental Ibiza

About the role

The Hotel Occidental Ibiza is looking for a motivated Head of Kitchen Station to lead the preparation and service of dishes within the hotel’s culinary department. You will ensure efficient organization, high-quality food production, and strict compliance with hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Organise the preparation of raw materials, supplies and task allocation for optimal workflow.
• Supervise and develop recipes based on menu cycles and food safety best practices.
• Direct and oversee assistants and cooks during dish preparation.
• Monitor cleaning, storage and replenishment of food items for the station.
• Ensure hygienic‑sanitary records and controls are correctly applied.
• Assist with basic receiving, storage and internal stock replenishment following established procedures.

Required profile

• Higher vocational training in Kitchen Management, Hospitality or a degree in Tourism.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar kitchen leadership role.
• High level of English is desirable.
• Good taste and olfactory memory, creativity and manual dexterity.
• Strong interpersonal skills, communication ability and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• HACCP (APPCC) food safety knowledge.
• Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Operation of kitchen equipment and utensils.
