Junior Account Manager – French Speaker

About the role

SumUp is looking for a Junior Account Manager who speaks French to join its Barcelona team. In this commercially‑focused position you will manage an existing portfolio of merchants, driving revenue growth through proactive outreach, upselling, and retention activities.

Key responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of French‑speaking merchants and work to increase transaction volume.
• Identify and execute upsell and cross‑sell opportunities for SumUp’s payment and fintech products.
• Negotiate pricing, fees and product adoption within defined guidelines.
• Run churn‑prevention and win‑back campaigns while balancing commercial opportunity with revenue quality.
• Prioritise outreach based on portfolio signals and performance indicators.
• Meet clear commercial targets and KPIs, with commission as a key component of compensation.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in sales development, sales or account management.
• Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding KPIs.
• Excellent verbal and written proficiency in French and English.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
