Junior Cybersecurity Software Engineer

About the role

Airbus Defence & Space is looking for a motivated Junior Cybersecurity Software Engineer to join its Product Security team in Getafe, Madrid. You will help protect aerospace products throughout their lifecycle, from research and development to operation and disposal.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure products are secure by design and comply with national and international security regulations.
• Participate in defining security architectures and specifying security controls based on risk assessments.
• Provide cybersecurity consultancy and guidance to business projects and programs.
• Contribute to software security requirement definition, design, integration, verification and validation.
• Create and review UML, sequence and class diagrams, pseudocode, and support source‑code, dependency and CI tool optimisation.

Required profile

• Recent engineering graduate or early‑career professional eager to grow in cybersecurity.
• Strong interest in aerospace and defence environments.
• Willingness to work in a multicultural, international team.
• Motivated to undergo state‑of‑the‑art training in cybersecurity and aerospace engineering.

Required skills
