Junior DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

G+D is looking for a motivated Junior DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer to join its Barcelona team. You will work in a collaborative, engineering‑focused environment, helping to build and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure for IoT and connectivity solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in defining and managing runtime infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for cloud (AWS, Azure) and on‑prem environments.
• Support the creation of secure, stable, and scalable systems following network and security best practices.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
• Help development teams with CI/CD pipelines, testing, packaging, and deployment workflows.
• Identify repetitive tasks and automate them to improve operational efficiency.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with a public cloud provider (AWS or Azure).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform.
• Basic containerisation knowledge (Docker) and exposure to Kubernetes or similar orchestration platforms.
• Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments.
• Good scripting abilities (Bash, Python).
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls) and understanding of high‑availability concepts.
