Junior Litigation Lawyer – Asset Recovery (Barcelona)

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Litigation Lawyer to join the asset recovery practice of our Barcelona office. The role involves supporting senior lawyers in civil and commercial litigation at both local and international levels, handling procedural work and court appearances.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review procedural documents such as claims, responses and appeals under supervision.
• Assist in case preparation, including document analysis, timeline creation and coordination with solicitors and clients.
• Monitor case files, court dates and procedural deadlines, updating internal tracking systems.
• Attend hearings and meetings, take notes, prepare documentation and conduct legal research.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer admitted to the Spanish Bar Association (ICAB) with a Law Degree and Master’s for Access to the Legal Profession.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in civil and/or commercial litigation.
• Native-level Spanish and Catalan, and advanced proficiency in English (assessment included).
• Experience drafting procedural documents and attending court proceedings in a reputable law firm.
• A specialist postgraduate degree is a plus.
