Junior Technical Project Manager – Strategy & Operations

About the role

AUTO1 Group, Europe's leading car trading platform founded in 2012, is hiring a Junior Technical Project Manager (Strategy & Operations) in Madrid. You will help develop digital tools, automate processes and improve operational efficiency across the group's European markets, working closely with international teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop internal tools, applications and prototypes to optimise business processes and operational efficiency across European markets.
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows and implement scalable solutions that improve business performance.
• Coordinate the development, testing and continuous improvement of internal tools with technology teams in Germany.
• Collaborate with European markets and cross-functional teams to turn business needs and feedback into practical solutions.
• Support the rollout of new tools and processes by providing training, documentation and ongoing support to local teams.

Required profile

• 2-4 years of experience in strategic business development, consulting or start-ups, with a proven track record of delivering results.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
• Fluency in Spanish and English (additional languages are a plus).

Required skills

• Programming in TypeScript, Python or Google Apps Script, with knowledge of frontend and backend development.
• Familiarity with GitHub, Docker, Google Sheets, Visual Studio, AWS or Jenkins.
• Experience in process optimisation, automation or building internal tools is a plus.
