Legal Counsel

About the role

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join Clar, an international fintech building credit‑brokerage infrastructure across Europe, Latin America and Asia. The role will support the company’s rapid growth, working closely with partners, regulators and internal teams from our hubs in Tallinn and Barcelona.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate partner and lender agreements across all markets.
• Provide board support, corporate governance and restructuring advice for Clar and its subsidiaries.
• Monitor and implement regulatory changes in consumer credit and broker‑age, including EU CCD2 transposition.
• Assist with data‑protection matters, GDPR compliance and related day‑to‑day queries.
• Support M&A activities: due diligence, transaction documentation and post‑acquisition integration.
• Handle employment contracts, terminations and equity‑related matters.
• Maintain insider lists, disclosure processes and internal compliance frameworks.
• Coordinate disputes with external counsel and manage trademark, domain and new‑vertical issues.

Required profile

• Law degree (master’s preferred) with several years of experience, ideally in fintech, financial services or consumer credit.
• Comfortable working in a global, multi‑jurisdictional environment.
• Advanced English; Polish or Spanish is a plus.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize a broad workload and know when to involve external counsel.
