Linux System Administrator – Large‑Scale Hosting Platform

About the role

You will join the team that operates one of Europe’s largest and most complex hosting platforms. Your primary mission is to keep the Stretch platform stable, performant, and continuously evolving while working on critical production systems.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and evolve large‑scale Linux infrastructure.
• Provide Level‑3 support for complex platform incidents.
• Automate processes using BASH and Python scripts and infrastructure automation tools.
• Manage distributed storage systems based on Ceph.
• Monitor and analyse platform health with Grafana and similar observability tools.
• Drive continuous improvement of system architecture and stability.
• Collaborate with international teams to transfer knowledge from legacy systems.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation (approximately one week every six weeks).

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional Linux system administration experience.
• Strong scripting abilities in BASH and Python.
• Hands‑on experience operating Ceph storage clusters in production.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as Grafana.
• Fluent English for international communication.
• Technical curiosity, pragmatic problem‑solving and a proactive, team‑oriented attitude.
