Logistic Operations Manager

About the role

The Logistic Operations Manager will lead continuous improvement initiatives and design optimized distribution solutions for Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, Madrid. You will act as a bridge between logistics and production, ensuring smooth physical and information flows from the hub to the point of use.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
• Design, implement, and adapt optimized distribution solutions.
• Coordinate logistics activities, attend SQCDP meetings, and escalate issues.
• Collect needs from other functions and communicate logistics impacts.
• Analyze KPIs to anticipate issues and improve flow.
• Maintain logistics data, flow cartography, and provide shop‑floor support.
• Manage logistics disruptions, corrective actions, and practical problem solving.
• Perform first‑level IT maintenance and liaise with support teams.
• Oversee inventory and usage of specific logistics means.
• Monitor distribution performance and define action plans using IT tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of warehouse management experience, preferably in the aeronautical sector.
• At least 2 years of human team management experience.
• More than 3 years of contract management and supplier negotiation experience.
• Ability to create work specifications and follow them through execution.

Required skills

• Advanced use of SAP Logistics module.
• Lean methodology knowledge.
• Understanding of export control regulations.
