M&A Analyst – Infrastructure & Industrials

About the role

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking is seeking an M&A Analyst focused on Infrastructure & Industrials to join its Madrid office. The analyst will work on high‑profile transactions across EMEA, supporting both origination and execution for corporates, utilities, infrastructure funds, private equity sponsors and other financial investors.

Key responsibilities

• Build and review detailed financial models, including operating models, DCFs, merger and accretion/dilution analyses, and valuation frameworks.
• Perform valuation work using DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions and sector‑specific approaches.
• Prepare high‑quality client materials such as pitch books, strategic reviews, management presentations, information memoranda and board documents.
• Support live transactions from day one, taking responsibility for core analytical and execution workstreams.
• Collaborate with senior bankers and cross‑border teams across EMEA to deliver integrated advice.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach to risk management.
• Interest in M&A, infrastructure and industrial sectors.
• Ability to work closely with senior bankers and multi‑disciplinary deal teams.
• Graduates with a degree in finance, economics, business or a related field.
