Maintenance Technician – Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of handling equipment, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems, as well as production lines such as grinding, mixing, pressing, bag filling, and bulk loading. The role involves both scheduled preventive work and rapid response to unexpected breakdowns.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance according to schedules and checklists, assessing the condition of equipment and installations.
• Identify and report potential defects, propose corrective actions, and order spare parts as needed.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions in machinery, control systems, and measuring devices, determining root causes and implementing emergency repairs.
• Execute corrective maintenance, including disassembly, part replacement, adjustment, and re‑assembly, following work orders and supervisor instructions.
• Carry out modifications, overhauls, and improvements based on technical expertise and management guidance.
• Log all activities in the maintenance management system to maintain a complete equipment history.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, work permits, and technical standards, and signal hazardous situations promptly.

Required profile

• Experience with handling equipment, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial environment.
• Ability to follow maintenance schedules, checklists, and work orders accurately.
• Capability to communicate defects and proposed solutions to supervisors.
• Willingness to supervise third‑party technicians when required.
