Marine Operations Manager

About the role

KOTUG is seeking a Marine Operations Manager to lead towage operations in Freeport, Bahamas. The role provides strategic operational leadership, ensures safety and environmental compliance, and supports employee development while delivering professional marine services to customers and regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily vessel operations, crew management and operational performance.
• Manage vessel and crew budgets, OPEX and cost‑effectiveness.
• Prepare operational summary reports and communicate status to senior management.
• Conduct annual crew performance evaluations and manage crew rotation schedules.
• Lead incident investigations and ensure compliance with contractual, health, safety and environmental obligations.
• Maintain equipment certificates, company procedures and foster a positive team atmosphere.

Required profile

• Proven management experience in maritime harbour or terminal towage.
• Fluent English and ability to travel as needed.
• Strong leadership, technical and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, collaborative team player willing to seek guidance from senior management.
