Material and Process Engineer (Aviation)

About the role

Based in Madrid, you will join Jet Aviation’s Stress Engineering team to develop and continuously improve materials databases, engineering processes and qualification data that support the design, production and maintenance of VIP aircraft interiors.

Key responsibilities

• Support engineering teams in selecting, qualifying and certifying materials and manufacturing processes for VIP aircraft interiors.
• Develop, maintain and improve material specifications, procedures, databases and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders on new technologies, qualification programmes, procurement support and process optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with EHS and environmental regulations such as REACH and RoHS while promoting eco‑design principles.
• Lead and contribute to R&D and continuous‑improvement projects focused on sustainability, lightweight solutions, cost reduction, lead‑time optimisation and manufacturing efficiency.
• Provide engineering support across P21J, P21G and P145 organisations, including development of certifiable technical solutions and structural analysis activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in aerospace, aviation or a similar engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of materials engineering fundamentals, qualification methods, certification activities and engineering standards.
• Knowledge of EHS regulations and environmental compliance standards such as REACH and RoHS.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in English and Spanish; additional French or German is a plus.
