Maths and Business Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational Maths and Business teacher to deliver creative lessons across Key Stages 3‑5, including GCSE and A‑Level. The role involves planning engaging, practical activities and promoting subject enthusiasm throughout the secondary school.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Maths and Business curriculum to students from Key Stage 3 through to A‑Level, covering both GCSE and A‑Level syllabi.
• Develop and deliver innovative lesson plans, assessments and learning schemes that foster independent and reflective learning.
• Promote the subjects through curricular, cross‑curricular and extra‑curricular activities and act as a subject champion.
• Support colleagues with subject expertise, resource planning and use of technology.
• Serve as a form tutor, monitoring pupils’ academic progress and wellbeing.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – PGCE, BEd or equivalent.
• Degree level education or professional qualification in Maths and/or Business.
• Experience teaching GCSE and A‑Level exam syllabi.
• Strong classroom management and ability to differentiate for diverse learners.
• Commitment to safeguarding, pastoral care and school values.
