Mechanical Systems Integration & Design Engineer – Military Derivatives

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Mechanical Systems Integration & Design Engineer to join its Mechanical Systems Installation team in Getafe, Spain. The role supports the integration of fuel, hydraulic, environmental control and equipment systems on a new military aircraft program.

Key responsibilities

• Concept, define and develop design solutions for mechanical system parts, assemblies and installations using CATIA V5 and CSG Full3D.
• Establish design principles, interfaces, materials and manufacturing processes in collaboration with industrial and production teams.
• Support the end‑to‑end product lifecycle of the aircraft with modern design methods and software.
• Coordinate with other engineering offices (stress, loads, aerodynamics, structure, DMU/CAD, materials) to ensure interface compatibility.
• Provide technical expertise to supply chain, quality, purchasing, assembly, chief engineer and certification stakeholders.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or a related discipline.
• Open to candidates at junior (0‑3 years), mid (3‑7 years) or senior (7+ years) levels with experience in fluid‑system and equipment installations.
• Advanced English proficiency; native Spanish; French is a plus.
• Strong communication, proactive attitude and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
