Mould Design Engineer (CATIA)

About the role

Compoxi is seeking a Mould Design Engineer with strong CATIA V5 expertise to join its engineering team in Girona. You will be responsible for designing and documenting moulds, tooling, and related equipment for composite aerospace and space parts, ensuring compliance with high‑performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design lay‑up, trimming, assembly, and verification moulds, jigs, and templates.
• Perform validation calculations and create digital mock‑ups to verify functionality and dimensional compatibility.
• Apply GD&T principles and prepare detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
• Develop handling, maintenance, and HSE documentation for tooling.
• Coordinate with suppliers to select optimal tooling solutions based on process, materials, and tolerances.
• Maintain a structured design methodology with clear model organization and traceable technical information.

Required profile

• Degree or technical qualification in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in tooling or mould design.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
