Network Engineer - Global Internet Access

About the role

ING Hubs Spain is looking for a Network Engineer to join its Global Internet Access Team within the Global Infrastructure & Access (GIA) area. The team delivers secure, reliable and high-performing internet proxy and remote access services to ING employees worldwide, using an Agile way of working with a Product Manager and squad colleagues in an international, distributed team.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the stability, security and continuous improvement of ING's global internet access services.
• Co-create secure and scalable network solutions with engineers, product managers and infrastructure teams.
• Ensure reliable operation of network services through monitoring, maintenance and proactive problem solving.
• Provide Tier 3 technical support for complex network incidents and requests.
• Perform operational support including lifecycle management, incident resolution, reporting and service monitoring.
• Contribute to infrastructure projects and network transformation initiatives.
• Support security processes and risk management, including patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Take part in planned out-of-business-hours changes and standby on-call activities when required.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience with network technologies.
• Strong networking knowledge equivalent to CCNA/CCNP level.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, ideally.
• Excellent spoken and written English (C1 level).
• Nice to have: scripting languages such as Python, Go or PowerShell, and automation and infrastructure automation experience.

Required skills

• Enterprise networking and security solutions: proxies, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers and Secure Service Edge (SSE).
• Check Point, Skyhigh, Palo Alto, F5 or Netskope experience highly valued.
