Night Auditor

About the role

The Night Auditor ensures seamless hotel operations and financial continuity throughout the night shift at Fairmont La Hacienda, a 5‑star resort on the San Roque coast. This role blends high‑level guest service with precise accounting and audit procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome, register, and bid farewell to guests during the night, delivering warm and efficient service.
• Act as the primary point of contact for overnight guests, handling requests, concerns, and special situations autonomously.
• Resolve complaints according to established protocols and maintain a safe, calm lobby environment.
• Execute all night‑audit and daily closing procedures accurately, reviewing rates, taxes, charges, and transactions.
• Perform cash reconciliations, fund balancing, and cash control in line with Finance standards.
• Generate and distribute nightly financial and operational reports within set deadlines.
• Oversee lobby and public‑area activity, coordinate with Security and Maintenance, and participate in emergency management.
• Control access to master keys when required and ensure proper preparation of VIP reservations, late arrivals, and special profiles.
• Maintain clear communication with the day shift through incident reports and update guest profiles in the PMS.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to handle guest requests independently.
• Attention to detail and sound judgment for resolving complaints and financial discrepancies.
• Experience in cash handling, fund balancing, and nightly financial closing.
• Knowledge of security procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both night and day teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Property Management System (PMS).
