Offshore Crane Operator / Mechanic

About the role

EnerMech is looking for experienced Offshore Crane Operators / Mechanics to join our Cranes & Lifting Operations team. This is a hands‑on offshore role combining safe crane operations with mechanical maintenance, fault finding and repair of offshore pedestal cranes and associated lifting equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate offshore cranes safely and efficiently.
• Inspect, maintain and repair offshore pedestal and knuckle‑boom cranes.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic faults to ensure high equipment availability.

Required profile

• OPITO Offshore Crane Operator Stage 3 (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years offshore crane operating experience.
• Minimum 3 years crane maintenance experience.
• Recognised mechanical/engineering trade qualification.
• Experience with pedestal and/or knuckle‑boom cranes.
• Strong hydraulic, mechanical and crane fault‑finding capability.
• Experience with supply vessel operations and dynamic offshore lifts.
• Valid BOSIET/FOET, offshore medical and relevant offshore certification.
• Commitment to safe lifting operations and Stop Work Authority.
• Familiarity with API RP 2D and BS 7121 Part 11 standards (highly desirable).
