People Operations Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a People Operations Specialist to join the HR team of our fast‑growing scale‑up partner in Barcelona. The role focuses on ensuring employee satisfaction, engagement, and smooth HR processes across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Become the HR Operations subject‑matter expert for the assigned countries.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee HR inquiries.
• Manage end‑to‑end employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding and internal transitions.
• Administer HR systems, maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity.
• Coordinate payroll processing in collaboration with external payroll providers.
• Support the development and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
• Facilitate performance‑management processes and HR projects.
• Stay up‑to‑date with HR best practices and legal requirements.

Required profile

• Advanced level of English and fluency in one additional language (French, German, Italian, Dutch or Spanish).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in People Operations or HR operations.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and labour legislation.
• Experience with HR management systems.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive data.
• Availability to work onsite five days a week with full flexibility.
