Plant Controlling Intern – Early Career Trainee

About the role

Mondelēz International is looking for a Plant Controlling intern in Orbigo, Spain, to train a dedicated resource in all aspects of Plant Controlling, end to end. The intern works alongside the Section Controller in an international FMCG environment and gains exposure to the full Section Controlling cycle, from weekly cost governance and monthly financial reporting through to budgeting, forecasting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Cost governance and performance tracking: support weekly and monthly monitoring of manufacturing costs, including material losses, labour efficiency and maintenance spend.
• Financial reporting and analysis: contribute to monthly results, cost analysis by area and key financial reconciliations.
• Controls and compliance: assist in periodic reviews and internal controls, including SOX-related activities.
• Budgeting and forecasting: participate in the cycle, supporting standard costing, productivity tracking and benefit calculations for improvement projects.
• Month-end closure: support accruals, production order settlements and volume reporting.
• Master data and data integrity: help keep BOMs, cost centers and material records accurate across systems.

Required profile

• Final year student or recent graduate in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Fluent Spanish and English at working level.
• Full-time internship of at least 6 months; no relocation support available.

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills.
• Familiarity with SAP is a plus; experience with BI or reporting tools is valued.
• Comfort with numbers and financial data, attention to detail and a structured approach.
