Powerplant Integration Engineer

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Powerplant Integration Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team in Getafe, Madrid. The role focuses on the design, development and implementation of the power‑plant for a major turboprop aircraft project, working closely with aerodynamics, structures, systems and certification teams.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate the engine, propeller and associated subsystems (ventilation, fuel, control, lubrication, etc.) into the aircraft architecture.
• Define physical and functional interfaces, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, certification and safety requirements.
• Support validation and verification activities through analysis, testing and inspections.
• Analyse flight and ground‑test data, propose technical modifications or design improvements.
• Investigate in‑service anomalies and provide technical support for continuous airworthiness.

Required profile

• Aeronautical Engineering degree or Master’s in a related discipline.
• Initial professional experience in powerplant integration or related aircraft systems; an Airbus internship is a plus.
• Advanced level of English, both written and spoken.
