Principal – Operations Consulting (Multi‑Industry) – Spain & Portugal

About the role

This senior position will lead the growth of our Safety and Operations Consulting practice across Spain and Portugal, helping leading organisations solve complex safety and operational challenges while delivering sustainable business results.

Key responsibilities

• Lead large‑scale safety, operational transformation and performance improvement programmes across Spain and Portugal.
• Develop and expand strategic relationships with senior client stakeholders.
• Identify, shape and convert business development opportunities in target industries.
• Manage and grow key client accounts, ensuring measurable impact.
• Lead multidisciplinary consulting teams and mentor consultants and managers.
• Support proposal development, commercial negotiations and solution design.
• Contribute to thought leadership and evolve dss+ operational excellence offerings.
• Assist regional leadership in executing growth strategies and market expansion plans.

Required profile

• Significant experience in management consulting with a focus on operations, operational excellence or business transformation.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale transformation programmes across multiple industries.
• Demonstrated success in business development, account management and building long‑term client relationships.
• Experience working with asset‑intensive sectors such as mining, metals, oil & gas, chemicals, manufacturing or energy.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to influence C‑suite executives and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Economics or related field.
• Fluency in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a plus.
