Private Equity Junior Investment Associate

About the role

We are an established European private equity platform focused on the energy transition. The team is expanding its investment activity across Southern Europe and seeks a Junior Investment Associate to support deal execution, portfolio monitoring, and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support buy‑side and sell‑side M&A processes, coordinating with advisors and internal stakeholders.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including LBO and cash‑flow analyses.
• Perform financial analysis, valuation, and due‑diligence on potential investments.
• Prepare investment committee materials, presentations, and internal documentation.
• Assist with portfolio monitoring, performance tracking, reporting, and KPI follow‑up.
• Conduct market and industry research to refine investment theses.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives such as organic growth plans, integrations, financing, and add‑on acquisitions.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or top‑tier strategy/transaction advisory, preferably in energy or industrial sectors.
• Strong exposure to transaction work, including financial analysis, valuation, and execution of mandates.
• Advanced financial modelling skills with high attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of corporate finance and accounting fundamentals.
• Ability to work in demanding, high‑performance environments with multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Fluent in English; Italian or Spanish is a plus.
