Product Introduction Reliability Growth Engineer

About the role

Alstom is looking for a full‑time Product Introduction Reliability Growth Engineer to join its Barcelona team. You will apply your validation and technical support expertise to ensure high availability and reliability of rolling stock during commissioning, validation and warranty phases.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for train commissioning, validation and warranty activities.
• Act as the interface between workshop and factory teams throughout the warranty phase.
• Manage customer complaints related to rolling‑stock technical issues.
• Support field modifications and oversee their implementation.
• Contribute to Reliability Growth initiatives and Return‑of‑Experience activities.
• Analyse train failure data logs to identify trends and root causes.
• Check and analyse the failure database (Maximo).
• Ensure train configuration control and maintain associated technical documentation.
• Facilitate effective information flow within the depot and project team.
• Serve as technical liaison with suppliers, Alstom Participant Units and engineering teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechatronics, Embedded Systems Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience providing technical support for mechanical or electrical/electronic systems.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Experience in field commissioning and validation.
• Ability to use electrical circuit tools.
• Willingness to travel between workshops in the Barcelona area.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Maximo failure‑database software.
• Use of electrical circuit testing tools.
• Failure data analysis and root‑cause identification.
• Train configuration control and technical documentation management.
