Project & Construction Manager - Engineer/Architect

About the role

A Building & Construction Engineer / Architect position has opened at Airbus Defence and Space, San Pablo (Sevilla), within the Building Construction team of Facility Management Real Estate (FMRE). FMRE covers ESG policies across facilities, civil works, energy supply and management, transportation, hospitality, space design for offices and general maintenance. The role leads civil works, infrastructure projects and sustainable facility designs on site, with cross-functional support when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver civil works and infrastructure projects from initial technical management through site execution and completion.
• Design facilities and office spaces tailored to operational needs, promoting space optimization and functional design.
• Manage site construction, procedure follow-up and technical activities to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Apply ESG concepts and sustainability principles across building designs and facility management initiatives.
• Ensure financial control, including CapEx/OpEx tracking and Risk & Opportunity (R&O) management.
• Apply the Airbus leadership model to build an inclusive, customer-focused team.

Required profile

• Engineering or Architecture degree (EQF7 / MECES 3) with Master Habilitante.
• Minimum 5 years of mandatory experience in building & construction or infrastructure projects (10+ years preferred), as field engineer or technical project manager.
• Advanced / negotiation-level English.
• Valuable: experience managing construction projects in the industrial sector.

• Strong building background, project and planning management, quality assurance, procedure follow-up and administration/license management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, team management, customer focus and commitment to continuous improvement.
