Q-Commerce Finance & Strategy Lead

About the role

Glovo, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is looking for a Q-Commerce Finance & Strategy Lead in Barcelona. Quick commerce is one of the fastest growing e-commerce channels, and the role helps set its direction and priorities so it can grow beyond the food business. Over the next 12-18 months you will own the growth while keeping the business model sustainable and profitable.

Key responsibilities

• Build a deep understanding of Glovo's economic model and the Q-Commerce P&L, partnering with central finance
• Identify profitability improvement opportunities and drive their implementation across countries, working with QC Commercial and Operations
• Act as the primary finance and strategy contact for local stakeholders, handling ad hoc requests and connecting teams with the right resources
• Own projects end to end, such as the masterplan or BP process, profitability plans for struggling countries, and 5-year planning for Q-Commerce, presenting them to senior management
• Manage the Business Plan and reforecast process
• Lead strategic analysis such as competitor benchmarking and the revamp of how Glovo treats partner ads
• Build strong partnerships with country leadership and central finance

Required profile

• Strong analytical abilities
• Understanding of accounting and corporate finance
• Detail-oriented approach combined with a big-picture mindset, suited to a combined finance and strategy role
• Interest in the commercial elements of the Q-Commerce business and a fast-growing vertical
• Nice to have: strategy consulting experience, audit, accounting or FP&A experience, and e-commerce commercial experience
