Quality Assurance Engineer – Barcelona, Venezuela

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Quality and Reliability Center (QRC) in Barcelona, Venezuela. The role will support the development, implementation and monitoring of quality control programs, translating customer specifications and industry standards into actionable product and process criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001:2015.
• Coordinate random inspections and inbound/production checks to evaluate process quality.
• Conduct analyses to define preventive actions and reduce defects.
• Issue reports and metrics on key quality indicators.
• Lead inter‑departmental problem‑solving groups and manage KPI‑related issues.
• Maintain relationships with customers, third‑party inspectors and suppliers.
• Participate in supplier quality testing, audits and external inspections.
• Perform dimensional inspections of parts and pumps and generate related reports.
• Maintain the Quality Quest system, ensuring proper closure of NCRs.
• Administer document dossiers and generate inspection and photographic release plans.
• Validate production documentation and support continuous‑improvement events.
• Analyze data to provide insights for management and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in quality assurance within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and relevant standards (ASME, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ASTM, API).
• Experience developing and implementing PFMEA and control plans.
• Proven ability to use problem‑solving methodologies (8D, A3, DMAIC, 3x5 Whys, Fishbone, C&E).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Advanced English (optional).
