Quality Assurance Specialist – EV Battery Manufacturing

About the role

Join MOBIS Spain Electrified Powertrain, a leading subsidiary of Hyundai Mobis, to ensure the quality and compliance of cutting‑edge EV battery assemblies. You will act as the primary quality liaison with customers, manage field claims, and drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Guarantee compliance with customer requirements, automotive standards, and regulations.
• Represent QA in customer audits, assessments, and quality review meetings.
• Manage and analyse field claims, coordinating technical reviews with customers and service organisations.
• Perform visual, functional and data analysis of returned parts, identifying root causes related to process, component or design.
• Prepare, submit and track 8D reports for Volkswagen, defining CAPA and meeting deadlines.
• Support Failure Elimination Process (FAP) activities for field‑detected failures.
• Provide technical evidence for chargeback evaluations and coordinate with internal departments.
• Implement recurrence‑prevention actions and disseminate lessons learned across projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in quality management or related fields.
• Experience supporting automotive, electronics, machinery or semiconductor components.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 audit processes.
• Proficiency in problem‑solving methods such as 8D, 5 Whys, FMEA and SPC.
• English level B2 minimum; German is a plus.
