Quality Assurance & Supplier Quality Expert

About the role

PowerCo is building a new gigafactory in Sagunto, Spain, to produce battery cells for sustainable mobility. As a Quality Assurance & Supplier Quality & Compliance Expert you will ensure that quality is embedded throughout the project lifecycle, from supplier selection to production readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality processes aligned with VDA 6.3, ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, and conduct audits, inspections and process assessments.
• Coordinate supplier qualification, perform supplier audits, and manage incoming‑material inspection procedures.
• Review material certificates, COA, COC and test reports to guarantee compliance and traceability.
• Verify installation quality of facilities and machinery, manage punch lists, defect registers and support acceptance, qualification, commissioning and hand‑over activities.
• Lead complaint management, CAPA processes and monitor EHS‑Q compliance, driving continuous improvement across suppliers and project teams.

Required profile

• University degree in Quality, Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance, supplier quality or process compliance within the automotive or industrial sector.
• Proven knowledge of VDA 6.3, ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Sagunto.
