Quality Control Scientist

About the role

Kymos is looking for a motivated Quality Control Scientist to join its Pharmaceutical Chemical Analysis department. You will be responsible for analyzing active ingredients and pharmaceutical specialties, ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, supervise and execute studies for the development and validation of analytical methods used in drug control and stability testing.
• Perform routine analyses using techniques such as HPLC, GC, potentiometry, Karl Fisher titration, UV spectroscopy and dissolution testing.
• Draft, review and manage technical documentation, including protocols, reports, standard operating procedures and certificates of analysis.
• Supervise and mentor laboratory analysts and technical staff, promoting GMP compliance and scientific excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Sciences with an analytical focus; a Master’s degree is highly valued.
• Basic knowledge of HPLC and GC techniques and familiarity with analytical development processes.
• Experience in method development/validation for pharmaceutical quality control is a plus.
• Previous work in a Quality Control or Analytical Development environment within the pharmaceutical sector.
• Hands‑on experience with GLP and GMP environments.
• English proficiency at First Certificate level.
