Railway Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical)

About the role

Alstom is seeking a Railway Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) to join its team in Pinto, Madrid. The role focuses on mechanical maintenance of rail transportation systems, supporting product safety management and ensuring that maintenance operations meet quality, time and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize the scope and tasks of the maintenance plan and define required materials.
• Support execution of overhaul and repair projects, managing technical and industrial documentation.
• Identify and implement improvement actions in maintenance operations, acting as an engineering interface with Operations Engineers.
• Contribute to the Product Safety Management System to mitigate safety risks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in EHS, operations and quality to solve complex mobility challenges.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in railway mechanical maintenance or a similar field.
• Intermediate level of English.
• Demonstrated experience preparing technical documentation for equipment reviews.
