Robotics Associate Project Manager

About the role

This position sits within ABB's Robotics business, which is preparing for the acquisition of ABB Robotics by SoftBank Group. It reports to the Project Operations Manager and leads the execution of small, low-complexity robot automation and intralogistics projects for customers across different industry segments in Spain. The main stakeholders are Sales Teams, Vendors, Project Managers and Clients. The work model is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the project team assigned to the project.
• Monitor and control project progress, efficient resource use and project financials.
• Identify, qualify and quantify project risks, and pursue opportunities.
• Drive formal project acceptance, contract close-out and customer acknowledgment in line with the contract.
• Support sales, solution design, trade fairs, showrooms and technical presentations.
• Apply basic project scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks proactively.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, intralogistics or related project environments, including planning, execution, stakeholder management, project control and change management.
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Electronic/Electrical or a related field; Master's degree in Project Management highly desirable.
• Fluent English and Spanish.
• Collaborative, proactive, good communicator and problem solver, with negotiation skills.
• Able to travel on short business trips (1-3 days per month) mainly within Spain to customer sites, suppliers and project locations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of automation software and system integration concepts.
• Machine safety principles and CE compliance knowledge highly valued.
• Preferred experience in the logistics sector.
