School Intern - British College of Gavà

About the role

The British College of Gavà, an Inspired school, is looking for an Intern to join in August or September 2026. The position is fixed term and full time, though it can be reduced to part time. The intern works closely with several departments and teams, supporting them with a wide range of tasks depending on the school's needs and the intern's background, while gaining hands-on experience in a school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administrative tasks: filing, photocopying, organizing materials, office-based computer skills, assisting with attendance, record-keeping or scheduling, supporting the front office and helping with morning registrations on the school's platform.
• Classroom support: helping teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management, setting up sports equipment for PE classes, patio and lunch duties, school trips, exam invigilations and setting up school events.
• Student engagement: supporting extracurricular activities, clubs or after-school programs, mentoring or tutoring students, and helping with assemblies, sports days and parent evenings.
• Observation and learning: observing teaching styles and school operations, attending staff meetings or training sessions, and learning about education policies, student behaviour and school culture.
• Miscellaneous support: setting up technology for lessons or presentations, decorating bulletin boards, organizing classroom spaces and running errands within the school.

Required profile

• Strong passion for working in school environments.
• Currently enrolled in a degree program.
• Speaks Spanish and English.
• Creative mindset, able to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous internship experience is a plus but not required.

Required skills

• Familiarity with office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Basic graphic design skills or experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator is a plus.
