Second Technical Services Manager

About the role

Barcelo Cabo de Gata is looking for a motivated Second Technical Services Manager to ensure the optimal operation and maintenance of the hotel's facilities, equipment, and public areas. You will work closely with the department head to coordinate teams, manage inventories, and support special events.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute repairs, improvements, and preventive maintenance for installations, machinery, furniture and the property.
• Verify that invoicing for services and supplies is accurate.
• Prepare and analyse budget estimates for new installations, equipment purchases and preventive maintenance programmes.
• Supervise the material warehouse, controlling inventory entries and exits.
• Conduct physical inventories of machinery, installations and furniture.
• Oversee the upkeep of gardens and sports facilities.
• Organise works required for special events such as banquets and conferences.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and occupational regulations.
• Propose disinfection and pest‑control programmes in line with official health standards.
• Assist the department head with staff scheduling, attendance records and personnel administration.

Required profile

• Mid‑level vocational training in maintenance (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Medio).
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar technical services role.
• High level of English is desirable.
• Knowledge of office software and basic hospitality operations is a plus.
• Strong organisational, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
