Secondary Maths Teacher

About the role

The British School of Seville (CBS) is looking for an enthusiastic Secondary Maths Teacher to deliver the British curriculum to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. The successful candidate will inspire curiosity, promote analytical thinking, and create a supportive environment where pupils develop a lasting love for mathematics.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality maths lessons aligned with the British curriculum.
• Maintain an engaging, inclusive classroom that supports academic success.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress regularly.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
• Uphold high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
• Collaborate with colleagues on departmental planning and development.
• Participate in school meetings, events, and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• Minimum two years of experience teaching maths at Key Stage 3/4.
• Strong subject knowledge across the maths curriculum.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
