About the role
We are looking for a passionate Secondary School Humanities Teacher to join Newton College. The role involves developing and delivering engaging humanities curriculum for secondary and high school students while fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment aligned with our ISP principles of wellbeing, respect, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans for secondary/high school students.
- Deliver engaging and effective instruction.
- Assess and monitor student learning and progress.
- Prepare students for exams and post‑secondary education.
Required profile
- Degree in education or a related field.
- Teaching certification.
- Experience in secondary/high school education.
Required skills
- Strong subject‑matter expertise.
- Instructional skills.
- Classroom management abilities.
- Effective communication abilities.
- Ability to engage and motivate secondary/high school students.
