Secondary School Maths Teacher

About the role

Green Valley School Mallorca is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated secondary school maths teacher for Key Stages 4 and 5. The successful candidate will deliver the IGCSE and IB Diploma mathematics programmes, helping students develop strong analytical skills while fostering a love of learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging mathematics lessons for KS4 (IGCSE) and KS5 (IB DP) students.
• Prepare teaching resources, including digital materials, to support varied learning styles.
• Monitor and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Contribute to the wider school community through pastoral care, staff meetings and extracurricular activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high academic standards and a positive school ethos.

Required profile

• UK qualified secondary teacher or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant experience teaching both GCSE/IGCSE and IB DP mathematics curricula.
• Proactive attitude, flexibility and a passion for education.
• Enthusiasm for excellence in all areas of school life.
• Legal right to work in Spain (preferably already residing in the country).

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IGCSE and IB DP mathematics programmes.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Effective classroom management and communication skills.
• Familiarity with modern educational technology and digital teaching tools.
