Security Engineer

About the role

Powens Group is looking for a hands‑on Security Engineer to work closely with the DevOps team and the CISO. You will design, implement and operate security controls across cloud platforms, Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines and internal tooling, ensuring the protection of fintech services and payment flows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Cloud Security Posture Management program using Aikido Security for AWS (and OVH where applicable).
• Standardise IAM, roll out AWS SSO, design network security architecture and manage secrets.
• Implement secure development standards and tooling across the engineering organisation.
• Review high‑risk code (payment, KYC, identity, AI‑generated) and collaborate with developers.
• Own end‑to‑end vulnerability management, coordinate remediation and report SLA compliance.
• Co‑manage incident response with the CISO and conduct post‑mortems.
• Design detection use cases, run threat‑hunts and support security architecture reviews for new initiatives.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in security engineering or cloud security.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS security services (IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, SSO, networking, encryption).
• Familiarity with regulated environments such as fintech or banking.
